42nd game finished of 2025: Silent Hill f. 100% certified dogshit. As cliché as it sounds, this doesn’t feel or play like a Silent Hill game. Annoying Soulslike inspired/lite combat. Subpar soundtrack. Overhyped story. Guess that’s what happens when you prostitute a beloved IP.

Depends which game. I’ve been going through the series; started with 0 in January. Y4 feels more like a visual novel than an actual game; final boss is rage inducing. Loving Y5 thus far. If the combat had been more like Sleeping Dogs & not drunkard homeless, this could’ve been so much more addictive

The trailers didn’t really convince me, so I picked it up with some store credit. DD Gaiden was slightly better than Revive. I thought to myself as I was playing that I’d rather play Rosetta Stone.
But yeah in terms of « revival », Neon remains the master. I put so many hours in that game.

40th Double Dragon Revive. Absolute dogshit of a game. Either bring back WayForward for DD Neon 2 or stop trying to revive the series. Thank fuck I didn’t pay it full price. Probably the worst game I played this year.

38th game finished of 2025: Ninja Gaiden 4. This didn’t feel like n NG game. It’s a PlatinumGames game. They could’ve used Yakumo in a brand new IP as a new protagonist. The devs clearly loved DMC4 too much 🙄
