Started the holiday party with hubby getting an award. Ended it finding out his coworker we were very close with died right before the party started. Fuckkkkkk

I have ZERO motivation to cook a Christmas Eve/day meal. Plus zero idea what to even make. It’s only the 3 of us-a toddler who doesn’t understand anything outside of its food and a husband who would be content with anything/nothing.

I understand things arise but if a Dr is running more than 20 minutes behind they should be required to give you a courtesy call. This is the 4th time in 2.5 weeks I’ve gotten to an appt and asked if they were running on time to be told they’re running over an hour behind. I could’ve stayed at work.

The best party of weeks where a paid holiday is on a Friday is that’s usually my half day so I get to work 4 hours less during the week. Plus field work tomorrow means I get to log off at a normal time today and very early on Wednesday.

Taking my broken foot to the field tomorrow which is usually our venting day for my coworker and I. Except this time we have to take our new hire (who we would otherwise definitely be venting about.) 😭😭

Also, like does that mean then I don’t need to send a card to anyone in your family bc why do they need 2 cards with us on it? So now each person will get a card from the grandparents and one from each of the 3 kids. So 2 pictures of each set of kids/grandkids. It’s seems very unnecessary.
I can’t stand grandparents sending out Christmas cards of their grandchildren or like their family/grandchildren. I feel like once your kids are old enough that they have their own family you shouldn’t be sending one out of them.

30 is approaching WAYYYY too quickly and this was in no way how I thought it’d look.
For one I thought I’d be 2-3 kids deep by now. Not only at 1. Thought I’d have my PE and now I don’t want it at all.

The most aggravating thing about open enrollment is 1) not getting any information until like a week before 2) when you and your spouse have open enroopen enrollments 4 months apart. Like what am I supposed to do with that?

I watched a video and the guy was saying how his sister was coming to watch his kids while his wife and him went away for a weekend. The concept just blows my mind that people have nice families like that bc my aunts/uncles never watched us even for an hour and our siblings would never either.

I need something better than my dry erase calendar but I don’t want to splurge on a skylight yet since she’s not in sports that have games. But I need something hanging on my wall in addition to my phone. But our plans change so much that paper seems like it’ll be a mess.

I was working at 11:30PM bc the deliverable that was due last week is still totally a disaster. I’m not high enough up for any of this to be my responsibility yet here I am. Idk what we’re going to do to make sure this doesn’t happen again but dear god things need to change.

A second kid I went to high school with died and I’m just so shocked. This one I knew a bit better because we had a few classes together but literally just so shocked. Nothing has been said about how. The other kid was killed in a motorcycle accident so it was all over the news.

I need some type of work boot. We only go to the field like 2x/year right now. I don’t necessarily need anything steel toe. Just comfortable and that goes above my ankle bc I’m very allergic to fire ants and have gotten bite before by them in the field.

I made it 29 years without needing a foreign object removed from my body..until yesterday…apparently it was a dog hair stuck in my ear bothering it.
My ear has been bothering for days now with this constant crackling sound. My ENT is booking 2+ months out. So I luckily got an appt this afternoon with a new ENT. Praying this is a quick resolve thing.
