I know it sounds like I'm making a joke but it's true. And what's crazy is I've never seen a single episode of that show. But still, every line of dialogue... word-for-word. Even the character names! The only differences were with the margins, and that was only because of my presets!

I tried this once and after four agonizing months I typed Fade Out… then realized what I’d written was a scene-for-scene word-for-word reconstruction of Season 2 Episode 11 of “Hardcastle and McCormick.” Only 49 pages (with my margin settings)!

Catch-22 was great IP with boffo talent involved and the picture did bupkis BO. It was such a stinkeroonie that the studio stayed away from adaptations for years, except for The Godfather and maybe some others! This was when movies were movies!
