Awful news that essentially means the end of one of the big studios. A huge blow to cinemas and movies lovers. Also bad for Netlix subscribers who will see big price increases now a competitor is gone.

Maybe. At least they would remain a film studio though. I suspect Netflix's declaration that they will continue putting movies into cinemas is a lie designed to get the merger past regulators and the ouptup will be one film a year.
