We carried those at my Blockbuster store, and I swear that in the two years I was there, they NEVER sold. They literally looked like they would feel gross to touch and hold as a gaming controller. We had the PS2 and XBox versions.

Randy Pitchford would like a word with you. 😂🤣

Carmack toured SpaceX and took personal photos with muskrat. Its difficult watching your heroes die, but he died to me that day.

Little bit, but needs 40 more buttons, lights, and three metal foot pedals. 😂

Totally agree @vaxick.bsky.social , this whole notion that a platform is ONLY worth it's exclusives is totally flawed. I don't care if a game exists elsewhere, that doesn't make it less enjoyable or valid.

Eh. It's ultimately selfish. If I want a thing to continue being available to me, then I need to do something to support that thing I want.

I want to see brick and mortar stay around if possible, so if I can, I try to support it. I'd rather support smaller businesses in person, but my area has really limited choice.

Historically between $500-1500 year.

MY choice not to purchase from them anymore isn't going to impact their bottom line, but I shared the above revelation, because I've encountered numerous other people who also prefer to avoid supporting certain things where they reasonably can.

Agreed. 100% agreed. The right to literally exist is not a 'political' topic.
October 24, 2025 at 9:22 PM
I also think that it comes to the issue that a lot of publications are trying "not to get political" -and while I understand that desire in some capacities(these are GAMING publications after all), they can't just outright look past glaring evil like this and pretend they aren't taking a side.
October 24, 2025 at 9:06 PM
I think that's true with a lot of them, but... When you see thumbnails and titles that outright say things like "reviewing the most controversial Gameboy"... Those creators know what they're doing. Hell, at that point they're arguably using it to generate more clicks.

Echoing what @darket696.bsky.social said, I was shocked that a restored/refurbished piece looking that good was so cheap. Might not hurt to try marking your stuff up a bit more in the future, since you clearly do excellent work repairing and restoring.

$50? Yeah, nope. That'll be a forever PASS from me. Most Amibo barely do anything noteworthy in any games, and I already have far more kitschy gaming knick-knacks then I'll ever have space to display.

Why aren't consumers boycotting this guy, and anybody who gives him and his products a platform? I don't understand what the fucking disconnect is with this one.

Instead, content creators are basically lining up to kiss his ass. Fuck this guy, and fuck the people who push his products.
October 24, 2025 at 7:00 PM
Its crazy how some of the people we initially thought were brilliant turn out to be complete asshats when you get down to it.
October 24, 2025 at 6:57 PM
I've been tremendously disappointed by some of the big content creators who seem happy to shill his shit on YouTube as of late. Wulff Den, GenXGrownUp, Retro Game Corp, MetalJesusRocks, Retro Dodo, MadLittlePixel... Hell, even RGT did a video talking up the M64.

Absolutely nauseating.

I was going to make a crack about sex tourists needing to at least look good enough to be able to attract someone to them... Then I remembered the appalling reality of sex tourism and... Yeah, he looks about right for that these days. Ugh.
October 24, 2025 at 6:51 PM
Lol, I mean I try to avoid shop interiors IRL if at all possible these days, so maybe they're just trying to mimic real life? (Kidding of course, the new levels of low effort are astounding).
