People confuse laws with morality, but we can have immoral laws.

Laws can be always immoral, morality is not pertinent to time and place. Separate but Equal Laws that legalized segregation based on color, where not moral in the 1900s and immoral in the 1960s. They are always immoral

Anyone can be charged with anything, our law is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, however the way people are being charged and treated as criminals makes me concerned that this is an activity intended to push out ethical lawyers for those that are ok bringing charges on political motvtins

Tariffs will cost the average household $2300 more per year, they think the 40 cents per gallon savings will make people ignore that increase. You gotta use up 5750 gallons per year to make up this difference, or drive 115k miles averaging 20 mpg, or 172.5k miles averaging 30 mpg per year.

Between 2015-2020, 674 US citizens where arrested by ICE, 121 Detained and 70 Deported by mistake. Without due process people can be sent to a concentration camp in El Salvador, there are still people deported to CECOT we do not know their identity.
ICE May Have Deported as Many as 70 US Citizens In the Last Five Years
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) keeps making an inexcusable error: it has been deporting U.S. citizens by mistake.

And now a 19 year old that was not the target to be picked up is the latest victim in El Salvador. No criminal history anywhere. Repeat. Nineteen years old. A teenager.

The people in #ImmigrationDetention in El Salvador are those that came to the US because they thought this country aligned with their morals. They saw themselves #Americanized to our freedoms and left everything they know for that goal. We failed #democracy by punishing those fleeing dictatorships.

The Trump election was an anti science and anti fact election and that should be a lesson to everyone. We alienated people who feel they are being told what to do. In my experience humanizing and providing how victims are closer to our morals becomes more effective.

We paid $6 million to deport nearly 300 people of which 75% never committed a crime, 22% range mostly charges on trespassing, burglary and shoplifting and only 12 were more serious offences.

We paid $6 million to torture people who thought the US aligned with their morals more than their country.

Many sent to CECOT believed in the U.S. more than the places they fled. They aligned with its values—democracy, freedom, fairness. The silence now—justifying cages for those who saw themselves in our image—isn’t bystander effect. It’s a betrayal of that image.

Many of those locked in CECOT believed in the U.S. more than the places they fled. They aligned with its values, not just its borders. They saw a future of being “Americanized”and they have been placed in cages in El Salvador without due process or evidence. It’s a betrayal of belonging.

If you are curious. CECOT where mostly innocent people where sent to send a message, has overcrowding. As many as 100 prisoners per cell, with each prisoner having 0.6 square meters per prisoner with artificial light on 24/7 and armed guards and cctv monitoring at all times.
April 14, 2025 at 3:57 AM
PBS News recently reported the conditions of CECOT where innocent people without criminal histories where sent by the US has documented at least 368 deaths from abuse and denial of basic needs.

Even if returned those deported to El Salvador will face considerable challenges re-adjusting to life. Most were innocent and their only mistake was believing that the US would protect them from the persecution they faced but instead have becomes victims of unimaginable torture.

Median Household Net Worth in the United States is $192,990, the net worth of the richest person Elon Musk is $347,700,000,000, that means $1 is a larger portion of $192,990 than $1 million is of Elon Musks $347.7 billion.

That is how he can buy votes, a fine does not even register as a dollar.

In 2010 some of the figures as far as cost of incarcerating undocumented people came to about $200 per night per detainee. At 15 million+, roughly 4.4% of the entire US population is there any logic behind trumps plan (at least $3 billion per day mostly to for profits detention centers).

Remember: fascism thrives on apathy.

The autocrats want you to tune out. They want to overwhelm you. They want you to give up.

Don’t give them want they want.

Stay in this fight. Remain vigilant. And let’s keep building.

Change will be hard but not impossible. Sadly large media is owned often by people that pledge allegiance to greed. We need to figure out a new way to reach people as we get censored or blocked from common sources.
