Quite simply they would all be getting crate training and sleeping in the crate when I’m sleeping. I have sleep related aggression so it’s for both of our safety.

For reference, I’m not a skinny person talking out of my ass. I’m 5’6” and weigh 185-195 consistently for years. I don’t look great in a swimsuit, but I don’t need to. My body is a vessel, not a sculpture, and it gets me from A to B with energy every day. I’m not trying to sell anything, either.

A true diet, as opposed to a “fad diet,” should take into account that you are a biological organism, and the whole point of food is to fuel your body. Making sustainable changes that you can - and will - do forever is the only thing that leads to true, long term health at any size.

Only a calorie deficit can cause weight loss. What this idea fails to grasp, or perhaps purposefully ignores, is that “diet” foods often taste diet, leaving you unsatisfied and feeling hungry again in very short order.

Sure, a fiber one bar has fewer kcal, but this is warm, gooey, and filling, not to mention cheaper, more nutrient dense, and more environmentally friendly. American dieting is often focused on extreme calorie reduction, and they’re right to an extent.

How to explain with a character limit… no one who is uninformed is going to Google “Gaza.” They have no reason to. Also, no one who is uninvolved in politics is going to get war headlines in their algorithms. However, a boat full of celebrities gets apprehended? That’s eye catching.(1)

When you open those articles, they include information about the extinction of Palestinians. Many news sources are avoiding writing about Palestine because of Zionist pushback. These headlines can usher information about the genocide in even when cowardly journalists don’t write headlines about it.

It’s not about thoughts and prayers. Greta knows she is well known. Articles about her getting arrested could bring attention to the starvation in Gaza. Either she was going to break the siege and create a pathway for aid, or she was going to get arrested and bring attention to Gaza.

When the right fails people, we need to be there to catch them. Otherwise, there will be a new person with an agenda to pick them up instead. This is how we win this thing, not with gotchas and I told you sos, but with open arms and compassionate truth. (And striking - but that’s a separate idea.)

So, before you comment something out of the hardness of your heart, look for the places where it is soft. Think about that mother, who is alone with four, almost five children. Think about how scared she must be. Try to exemplify the leftist values of community and social support.

Now is the time to practice radical empathy, love, and forgiveness. The right is practicing blatant, violent, fascist extremism, and it’s causing more and more conservative supporters to question what they’ve always believed. If we can be here with open arms, we might be able to prevent violence.

When we overlook people’s humanity to stroke our own moral egos and desire for revenge, we further alienate a group of people who have already been highly propagandized and brainwashed. Even if, in their heart of hearts, they know that something is wrong, they may resist that feeling out of fear.
