In order to stay in respite care they needed to go to medical appts or insurance wouldn't pay for care. I learned to just show up and tell them we were going bc if they had advance warning they rabbited.
Someone I haven't seen in months came in.
They have advanced cancer, psychosis, and meth addiction. I also think they're cognitively disabled, but they mask heavily.
I spent months trying to get them into a nursing facility. Got close once but they OD'ed and got kicked out of respite care.

A person w dementia just lost their housing. They can't stay in the trailer w their step kids bc they have intermittent incontinence at night. That's how I learned Medicare doesn't cover diapers.
