The pair exits the tavern, framed by the swing doors. As they leave they continue speaking, Ralica responding "Alright, point taken! I'll go shopping with you!" as she hurries ahead. Mach shouts ahead at her, "Yeah, yeah, just walk out on the fight! You seem pretty good at that!" Ralica simply responds "...Ouch." In the corner in large text, says "End."

The camera switches back to Ralica's face. She had a proud, soft smile on her face as she stares at Mach after she's done ranting. She monologues in her head, "Ah, Hhenaya... Stubborn as a rroneek, as strong as one too. She turned out just like you." A rroneek being a massive ox or buffalo type of herd animal. Ralica's POV of Mach at the table. She is haloed by a light on the wall behind her, looking angelic. Ralica's thoughts continue, "I wish I could have been there... To watch her take after you." Meanwhile, Mach is meeting Ralica's eyes and sneering at her, muttering "Oh, don't you get sappy-eyed with me, now. I'm still mad at you!"

The angle switches back to Ralica, and she is staring pensively at the hand that was cardling her head earlier. She is silently enduring the yelling that Mach is giving her. "On our expenses, I'm guessing? You wouldn't mind me buying a new jacket, then? Maybe some gun oil?" Mach trails off, muttering to herself, "Wait, that's already on the shopping list, nevermind..." And continues shouting, "Whatever, point is you could at least get started with the supplies, but nooo~! I dunno why I put up with it..." Ralica clenches her fist and raises her head with sad, gentle eyes. She has a thick slavic accent. "You do not have to put up with me. You are a grown woman, it is your choice to make, Mach. You can leave, if you'd like to." Mach snarks back, "Tch, trying to get rid of me now?" and Ralica responds, "Not at all, I would prefer to continue our partnership." The angle switches back to face Mach as she pinches her face together. Ralica continues, "But I would hate if I was holding you back. And you remain vocal of your disdain for me. Ahem, understandable disdain. You are very capable on your own. If you wish to, we can part ways right here." Mach mumbles to herself between ralica's words "Tsk. This woman..." The angle goes beneath the table, an empty tankard on the floor of the tavern behind Ralica. She attempts to continue, "And I will stay away-" But is cut off by Mach, "GODS, listen to yourself! You're so ready to leave again and act like it's what I want! You said you'd teach me what it takes to be a hero. That means you're stuck with me 'til I'm as big of a legend as you are, 'kay?" She also mutters to herself, "'Sides, I made a promise a long time ago. Somebody's gotta keep an eye on you."

The angle finally switches to the mother's face, fully visible. She softly smiles down at Maaka, mirth everpresent in her cheeks. The edges of the image begin to get hazy, dreamlike. She speaks, "Trust me when I say that your 'papa' loves you so very much. But she's doing very important work all over the world. She's a brave adventurer, just like you, bug." Maaka responds in fascination, "Really!?" And her mother continues, "In fact, I bet you and her would get along great!" Maaka again interjects excitedly, "Yeah!" She continues, "So promise me you'll stop all that worrying, okay bug?" "I'll stop!" "Good..." The image changes to an older woman, an anthropomorphic lioness with faded golden hair tied into a messy ponytail, and one eye obscured behind a blinder. She is clutching her head as if it's in pain, mouth hung open. The haze at the edges of the image remain, and the voices from before continue in her head, "Now promise me one last thing?" "'Kay..." "If... When you do meet her, she might not be what you're expecting. Just don't hate her, okay?" "I promise mama!" Intercut between the dialogue are faded, transparent words, seemingly from the same voice as the daughter. "Ralica... Hello..? Oi! RALICA!!" The image is clear again, and the lioness seems to be in a tavern of sorts, sitting at a table. Ralica shoots her head up straight in alarm, with a small noise following, "Gweh!" She was alerted by shouting across from her, "WAKE UP YOU DEAF OLD WOMAN!!!" Across the table is the young girl from before, Maaka. She is about a decade older now, and is glaring daggers at Ralica. She is accusingly pointing a finger in her direction and shouting, "C'mon! We're busy today! Or did you forget we gotta grocery shop, hm? Seriously, you get an earlier wakeup than me an' all you do is laze about?"

A back view of the pair, we can now see the mother has longer cat ears. The mother speaks. "Fine, fine. What's got you so grumpy then, Maaka?" She puts emphasis on the girl's name. Maaka responds, "Just thinking... How come papa never visits?" The mother freezes, her relaxed demeanor is gone and she looks across the river, lost in thought. Maaka continues, "The other kids' papas help hunt and cook and clean. But my papa doesn't show up at all." The mother is silent, Maaka continues. "...Mama? What if papa doesn't care about us?" Angle switches to face Maaka again, she looks anxious, brows furrowed. The mother coos at her, "Oh, bug..." She continues in a ramble, "An' what if you get sick? An' I can't fix it 'cus I don't know 'nuff about medicine?" Her rambling is intercut with her mother trying to get through to her, "Maaka..?" And still she continues, "An' I can't cook so good neither, so if somethin' happens and nobody can cook good then we can't eat!" The mother exhales, "Goodness..." The mother lifts the back of her hand and gently brushes it against her daughter's cheek, her eyes flutter shut against the touch. She comforts her with reassurances "You are far, far too adorable to be worrying so much. We have neighbours who look out for us just as we look out for them. We're in good hands. I promise, baby." Maaka nods along and lets out quiet noises of acceptance "Mrrh... 'Kay." The mother says "As for your 'papa'..."
