So I spent the last couple months working on a needle felt hornet, her cloak and needle. took her out for some photos last week :3

Needle felt hornet from Hollow Knight, her cloak is red fabric with red and dark brown embroidered details. Hornet is standing in some ferns facing the camera. The felted Hornet is standing on some leaf litter facing past the camera and crouched forward, a sculpted version of her needle is peaking out underneath her cloak as if she's holding it ready to strike. The felted Hornet is posed to look like she's walking, through a green and rocky area. She's front on and looking off to the left, her needle is peaking out behind her as if holstered on her back. The felted Hornet is side on and posed as if she's jumping or being propelled upwards, her head is tilted back to see where she's going and her needle appears to be holstered on her back. In the background is a grevillea tree out of focus and a clear blue sky.

Went to the museum today and was enamored by the taxidermy birds. I want to go back and draw more, each sketch was maybe 2 mins?

Women in the Picture is the one I have so far! Some others are: The Story of Art Without Men by Katy Hessel, The Other Side by Jennifer Higgie, and The Militant Muse by Whitney Chadwick.
I'm fairly sure most focus on Western art which is a shame, hope I can find more.

Okay I finally got a photo, the ds burnt umber and titanium buff are the new additions and I think they'll do great for skin tones

It was funny trying to get as much glare as I could so I could best see how effective the filter is.

1- no filter
2- polarized filter
3- polarized filter, diffused lighting, slight tone correction

Front on photo of the same sketch, it is much clearer.
