Makes me glad I run Fashion Popo and Bears in Space. Those devs actively encouraged speedruns of their games and didn't patch anything (at least not on purpose lol)

If they keep the beta branch, that would definitely be a gesture of goodwill. But yeah a bit more understandable if casual players will run into it. The dev for the game I ran was patching stuff no one but speedrunners would do

For transparency, I just had a dev patch a whole bunch of speedrun stuff and effectively kill their game to the point where I'm abandoning the run so I might be hypersensitive to it rn lol

I'm skeptical of "this affects non-speedrunners" since it seems like they didn't know about it until they saw a speedrun
