This is Bango. He entered the final stage of kidney disease in March 2024 and was supposed to live until April or May.
He survived. In June he stopped walking and the vet suggested euthanasia. We rejected.
In July he resumed walking! 🔥
He died only in December.

Jizo statues are found throughout the roads in Japan. It's said they protect travellers as they journey across the country. People may leave food offerings by these statues so they please the spirits and also aid lost travellers who may be hungry.

I lived in the middle of this area. It was possible to climb Pedra Gávea from the backyard (I was too afraid to try 🤫)
It's such a lovely and magical place. You really feel some strange and different energy there.

Kali has just passed away. I’m devastated.
Same cause of Bango’s death last December: kidney disease.
Kali was rescued from the streets in 2021. She was around 5. With us, she overcame dirofilariasis and pyometra.
May Hecate guide her.

I love to see how dogs get closer to each other. Wonderful photo!
I’ll share mine: we rescued Bango (black and white) in 2019. In 2021 we rescued Kali (black) and Durga together.
And then they formed Bango’s gang 😂
Bango died last December. Kali and Durga took care of him until the last day.
