I remember needing to get in line for Make-a-Strip at PAX East an hour plus ahead of time to be sure I'd get a seat. Times have changed. I'm not saying it's a bad thing but we old guys do yearn for yesteryear sometimes.

A lot better than this guy anyway.

Maybe not but at least there was plenty of implied profanity and they never hurts.

This is easily overlooked. And while level 2 makes a lot of sense for apartments, the single family household can likely get away with level 1 in many cases. It can take some time to get people used to a different way of interacting with a car, that's all.

Well sure, but that just means people didn't think THEIR idea was better, so in some ways it just proved their business model, right?

It seemed like the speakeasy of the convention. I was at once fascinated and intimidated.

Looking forward to 10th graders unionizing.

Yeah, there's your problem. If you really think your favorite religion is on balance a huge positive, then teaching all about it should reflect that. But sadly they're just interested in proselytizing.
November 20, 2025 at 4:19 PM
Honestly the idea of teaching some of the positive impacts of various religions on history is probably fine, so long as you extend it to ALL of the impacts of various religions. I suspect the bill prohibits bringing up any of the negatives but I'm afraid to look.

Sound of Perseverance is the album I think of most when I hear Crypta.
November 16, 2025 at 10:38 PM
On women in death metal: don't sleep on Crypta. They're excellent. First album sounds like circa 1998 Death.

Like it literally matters if you see the cup as half full or half empty.

I understand wanting to keep to TV times but this doesn't make curling better.
November 9, 2025 at 10:33 PM
I myself would have asked for the white and gold one.
November 7, 2025 at 7:16 PM
As opposed to the Cy Young, obviously.
