There is a very specific subsection of the TF fandom who are complete gym bros. Ive know one personally, and there were a whole bunch that used to meet at TFN and spend their time working out between buying toys.

Crazy, there really is every type in this fandom.

The toy might have aged like milk, but ain't have such a soft spot for that Robotmasters Convoy. A new, proper toy of G1 Optimus was something we had only been able to imagine before this. This and the original MP were such a rare nod to the original toys. Funny how that changed since them.

To be fair, I have those same criticisms of any later versions too - certainly reflective of my personal tastes over anything else.

But yeah, the new Superion is very satisfying to handle in hand. I know the skeleton style approach is divisive, but they have realised it well here.

Oh he absolutely always has been for me though, which stems entirely from him being all planes with limbs that all work the same way. The Stunticons suffer similarly. Ive felt that way since the G1 toys came out. The other combiners were far more interesting.
October 5, 2025 at 8:28 AM
On the whole though, yeah, Superion is inherently boring, as hes a bunch of very similarly coloured robots that all turn into the same type of vehicle.

But as a toy it's genuinely fun to play with.
October 5, 2025 at 7:18 AM
The whole set so far (I dont have the last two limbs yet) is really a step up from the Stunticons, which were individually a mixed bag. Also, and I cant stress this enough, there is no giant chunk of leftover alt mode when you make the combiner. That giant useless block of Motormaster was a crime.

I actually reallg enjoy it, as on the whole the process of transforming and combining FEELS fantastic on the toy. Everything feels better than Menasor did. More considered, more robust.

The giant plane mode trailer thing is ridiculous. But in a good way. Its FUN. Somehow. But it really is.
