He/him; younger twin. Former gifted child & ChicagoGay; current un[der]employed Midwestern embarrassment mit "un'aria di frociaggine." Occasionally ina-pro-pro--but mostly showing watches, pens, film cameras, & old records
Know what's tremendously disheartening? Taking all day to clear a driveway & 2 vehicles encased in snow, only to have more snow cover- (& now ice-)over all that (the white expanse in the driveway seen to the right in this video of more snow [illuminated by streetlight] was the hood of a blue truck)

Well, I'm having fun outside to-day...(video this time includes alt-text in the audio)

Trying to fit the door back on--OHH, the frustration!! I swear I just heard a grunt like George C. Scott in "Man Getting Hit by Football:"

...this is just too entertaining. I had to sit down & take in the scene--while looking at my phone...ma'am, I've touched your shed door at least 19 times more than you in the past 5 months; maybe now you understand how annoying that might have been...

Oldest selfie on your phone (speaking of bowties):

December 2009 (back when I still had a flip-phone w/o camera, so it's taken on a 3MP digital camera that I had to then attach to a laptop to upload the photos by sending them as verizon sms attachments...also, more of my face than anyone's seen...)

I FOUND IT!! Saturday 10.Jul.2004 (it's tremendously hard for me to pick a favorite Mike Peters image, but this is in my top-five across all-time):

Good night, all! Kahn & Jones again for the win in this 1924 tune:

Can someone help me find a @mikepeters.bsky.social cartoon done right after the GOP started raggin' on John Edwards for being an attorney? It was something like? a headline stating "a new insult," or something to that effect--but went back to Cheney swearing at Pat Leahy on the Senate floor

Let me also show you how they're crafted to allow you to access what might be in your pockets underneath (while also giving 2 breast pockets, 2 back pockets, & 2 side pockets; it is thru the side pockets that I'm at to access my watch pocket underneath to glance the time)

I get to wear this weirdly-tailored set of coveralls twice each year: in the spring (when I turn it on) & the fall (when i turn it off) accessing the 6-ft-below-street-level-water-valge for my parents' sprinkler system. #ThingThursday

Happy birthday to Broadway's original Annie, Andrea McArdle, born in Philadelphia on this date in 1963. Just a few yrs ago, I got to meet her backstage after a 4Girls4 revue in Naperville (for the record, I'm in this picture originally, too--but I used Paint to move me over in front of my Ex)

Sk@t the same actor as hero and villain (& he played demented far too infrequently; truly a shame, 'cause I think he did heavies better than his lighter work):

If I ever make it up your way, Austin, I'm bringing you this find my parents had in the backseat of one of their vehicles (stuck between the seat cushions); not Alien-franchise-related, but encompassing your cinematic interests

It was almost certainly released contemporaneously on 8-track at the time of its initial release...trust, I've been thru stax of releases (& re-releases) around that time...a handful of examples:

"I Saw Her Standing There" backed-with "I Want to Hold Your Hand" was also released in North America (on the swirling-yellow-&-orange-Capitol-label) on Boxing Day 1963

Why not the Surfaris' "Wipe Out"--first released in '63, but picked up on Dot Records in '64--it would've been everywhere [photo from my Dad's collection, on the original label, also signed by the band's original manager, Dale Smallin, who gives the opening laugh]

Inappropriate accomplishment for the weekend: I managed to work-in a Rob-Schneider-reference into talking about one of Rodgers & Hammerstein's most inappropriate musical-treatments (and no, Lutellan, it sadly wasn't South Pacific)

Sometimes it's pretty here (as long as you don't stop to consider how long it'll take for the rest of the leaves to fall, & how many follow-up-times you'll be raking them up to keep your parents from having to do so...)

Costume alternate (as I also took the time to steam & brush my collapsible silk top hat, in case I wanted to do a beefier rendition of geriatric Verdi--for which I would've further whitened my hair & added a knotted muffler about my neck)

Aaaaahhhh, the Lunar Folk! There's a California Moon-Wine by Paul Masson that holds to that great standard. Like every great moon-wine, it's vintage-dated in the bottle...

Went to a Halloween party last-minute on Saturday & family friend gave me his Dad's Pentax ME, 2 extra lenses, some of those fun '70s filters, AND two unexposed rolls of expired Superia400Xtra

A photo you'd use as an album-cover (one I need to re-visit & shoot with the overhead lights in-mind bzw. the double-exposure, but I'm terribly pleased with how the 1st attempt turned out)
