At the risk of sounding like someone who might install Linux, recently I have been digging out CDs, old mp3s, listening in lossless, and watching my old dvd/blu-rays. What have we been doing with streaming? Why did we do this to our ears and eyes?

Such a surreal thrill to see MFL complete and released into the world!

This new 1.0 includes more than 35 mins of new music by the way which I actually suspect makes MFL the game I have written the most music for, ever. Really keen to hear what people think, because I reckon this game is brilliant.

I know you were mostly joking and I was also mostly joking in my reply, but I do also think that most people enjoy the subjective nature of the count - otherwise yeah just award 3 votes to the top disposal-getter every match. But also the umps never asked to judge it either, so

Saints v Melbourne R20 is a really good example. You could actually make a great argument that quant-wise, Viney's 16 tackles (almost 80% more than the next highest on the ground) was the dominant performance on the day. But qualitatively most are arguing Wanganeen-Milera deserved the 3 votes.

I was a politically interested teen in the Howard years. The way he treated the public on asylum seekers and Iraq War had a similar destabilising impact on my sense (and my friends’) of the govt acting in the public interest that I have subsequently read historians describe re Watergate and the 70s
