I feel a fair chunk of that is the old timey photo style and pose. If you put him in modern clothing he feels slightly younger.

Punching in a sentence and getting back an image is slop, not art, obviously. But people who layer this stuff into massive workflows, that's no better or worse than someone creating things with Blender or Houdini. Where does slop end and art begin? Given intent, skill and effort, when is art art?
