I used to work in foodservice (the commercial side of food supply & preparation). I can tell you the worst company I ever dealt with was compass. Heartless, dishonest & unprincipled. If I see them involved with food supply anywhere, I avoid it.

This is exactly what PROTRANZ is trying to do in North Canterbury. Turn a quarry into a landfill (don't we have landfills in North Canterbury already?!) and they want to fast-track it so that the public (y'know the neighbours and other affected community) gets very limited input. anti-democratic

You are right. There are so many ideas and issues that come from the USA that I really think have no place in NZ society. *If anything*, we should be considering ideas & attitudes that come from Scandinavian countries...
