I was a libertarian in my early twenties and there is still a dormant Don’t Tread On Me part of my brain that flashes bright red when this subject comes up because how tf would they enforce this?

I feel for the regular people as always, but their governments have never cared about the US bullying the rest of the world, and this is the expected consequence.

To the extent they have pretended to care, it has only been masking their jealousy at losing their own dominance over weaker nations.

The cops are doing what they have been doing this entire time and working directly with ICE.

The same people who want to join ICE want to become cops. This would’ve been exceedingly clear during Trump’s last administration. Everyone has gotten more rightwing, liberals included.

They have everything to do with law enforcement and I am distressed at this recent liberal tendency to excuse regular police or even appeal to them for help against ICE.

We have regressed so far from 2020 that this is the moderate or even progressive liberal position.
