Having no experience on what's complex to make art for, I'd suggest:

- Growth Potion
- Bastion Belt
- Kuran'zoi Prismscale

Agreed, I think the defined challenges has really helped my players decide how their character would participate in the montage.

But we're still fairly new to the system, I can imagine how after knowing their characters well, they can pitch Challenges themselves, instead of just solutions.

Delightful art, particularly the detail on the necklace/amulet. Is Sparks from the Familiar Perk? Flavoring of Elementalist abilities? Both?

I know my artist friends love the sketches and concept style drawings in DH. And if we get it for future Ancestries, I know they'd love it for DS because they've asked me for what we've seen on the Patreon.
For months it was all we had to go on for the Hakaan and Memonek.

Sounds like it'll work great. One thing I learned to do for the next adventure is to include project ingredients and prerequisites as loot. If they're fighting a Hag? All sorts of ingredients and sources of knowledge in her hut. Potion recipes and a stocked larder.

How many levels do you expect the adventure to cover? Is there a section in the story where the Heroes could take some time to craft or is there a countdown throughout the whole thing? I ended up giving them 3 levels worth of crafting time at the end of the adventure as an extended break.

As someone who also started Draw Steel by adapting a D&D adventure (Reavers of Harkenwold), how have you been adapting the encounters/rest number?

Have you been cutting encounters meant to wittle down resources? Placing safe Respite locations? Do you have a plan for converting loot/rewards?

An artist accepting a Performance duel with a devil? Sounds like a Riojan.

I'm sure it's a classic trope in their plays, featuring authentic devil actors. So head on down to Capital and look for a golden fiddle.

Being the director has been a blast, the mechanics for Draw Steel rely on ramping up the power of abilities rather than the tension of ramping down and running out. So every new encounter or round of combat lets both sides flex a little more. I LOVE how this mechanic works.

Isn't that what the Operator is for?

I'm delighted. I also love that if a Hero dies, the Troubadour gets 10 Drama so they're guaranteed to be able to do this on their next turn.

In case you still need it, the Montages for the Encounters book just got posted to the Patreon. 3 ritual examples: Consecrate the Area, Exorcism and Summon a Devil.

Great news, the rules are open so you can read both books (without art) at steelcompendium.io and use ForgeSteel to create and run characters and encounters for free. Or get the $10 Delian Tomb for an adventure designed to teach players and directors while playing, with 20-40 hours of content.
