Problem is, if there's a shortage of money in the system and they increase pay, then something has to give - so is that more tax? We know that's not happening. Or less Drs? That will make things worse. I really don't understand it this time... A Labour government is always going to work towards

Populism pushes simple solutions to complex problems, and simple solutions fall apart when they actually meet reality. I don't think Truss is a bad example of this - which was really the only point I was making.

People can be populist without crashing. They can be organised and get elected into positions with real power, and then the whole thing falls to bits when it meets reality. c.f. Liz Truss (the main issue here is what's being posed will undoubtedly implode if it gets the opportunity to meet reality).
