For the quick-draw problem you discuss, have you tried using the always double click option and then always double clicking? It would (if my understanding of how these things work is correct) get rid of the accidental shot problem you encountered when double clicking without that set.

Mighty Squirrel (local brewer with a wide variety of styles) just opened up a taproom/restaurant across the street from Fenway Park, a little over a mile from Copley. Haven't been to the new spot, and you'll have to check that the food is what you're looking for, but I can recommend the beer.
