Day 5: Saracosa. Sangiovese blend. Italy

What’s this? A red I… like? Maybe it’s because it went well with what I was having for dinner, but actually not horrible. 7/10.

Day 4: Barón De Barbón. Rioja Blanco. Spain.

Finally, a white! (As I believe Nigel Farage says). There’s some weird aftertaste here that I’m not sure about. It’s quite lime-y and citrusy. Alfie was very interested in being in the photo. Still, best one so far. 6/10.

Day 2: Il Papavero, Vino Rosso (blend), Italy. According to the Laithwaites website, this is one of the most popular reds they sell. I think it smells very heavily of cherries. But at least it doesn’t linger on the palate. Is it better than yesterday? Eh, guess not. 4/10.

I really want to like red wine, but I find it so hard. If I was served this I would drink it, but probably wouldnt choose it myself. It’s woody, earthy. Less harsh than I find most reds. A perfectly acceptable day one wine. 5/10.
