Proud to have contributed an essay on the Senate Chaplaincy to a newly published collection on Religion and Congress. I learned a ton in researching this, including how much abolitionism effected the chaplain elections in the mid-19th century.

Just throwing out another example of how AI has broken Google search. Symmes was definitely not a member of the Senate, but Google's AI apparently can't make sense out of a page that mentions him and identifies a different guy as serving in the Senate.

There is not an economic story that mainstream papers won't cast in a negative light. When job growth is high, it's a harbinger of inflation. When it is low, it's a looming recession. Even when unemployment is still at historic lows.
