“Highs and Lows”
2022

Letting the flowers and leaves wilt in studio after photographing them started as an accident, but became and interesting way to tell stories and convey feelings that I think we all identify with.

“Things We Lost”

This photograph was part of a botanic study in 2022, that slowly morphed into telling stories with leaves and flowers. The story told here is one of profound loss and compassion.

“Three Sisters”
2022

The leaves of the sugar sumac are very expressive and full of personality. I photographed these three separately and felt like they belonged together. They remind me of my wife Alesia and her two sisters. Just like the sugar sumac, they’re resilient as hell.

“Together”
2022

This photograph was a byproduct of a flower study in 2022. When for some reason I became a target for anti-trans activists who harassed me a little through social media, I made this piece and sold prints as a fundraiser for a couple of inclusive orgs that support trans youth.

“Portrait of a Pisces”
2025

Portrait of a Pisces is a glimpse into the ethereal mind of a Pisces. Fluid, dreamlike, and full of emotion, colors swirl like half-formed thoughts, memories blur into feeling, and within this cloud of consciousness, we catch a fleeting reflection.

“Water Bearers”
2024

Representing Aquarius in my Zodiac series, Water Bearers touches on themes of service to others, education, selflessness and wisdom. Despite being having themes of water, Aquarius is an air sign. No actual water is flowing in this photograph.

“Traditions”
2024

Representing Capricorn in my Signs of the Zodiac series, Traditions touches on some of the core traits typical in Capricorn, perseverance, determination, and a love for tradition. These ideals are embodied both in the still life seen in the viewfinder, and the camera itself.

“Sagittarius1210.jpg”
2024

Representing Sag in my Zodiac series, this image touches on the Sagittarian love for travel, their innate curiosity, and compassion for others. The title itself represent Sag’s strong practical streak, keeping the image name as it was shot.

“Scorpio V”
2024

Representing Scorpio in my Zodiac still life series, this composition reflects on the cyclical themes present in Scorpio. Life, Death, and Rebirth are present in each orientation and then the entire composition can be rotated to start the cycle again.

“Astraia’s Desk”
2024

This photograph is a puzzle. In doing research for the Virgo entry in my Signs of the Zodiac still life series, one thing that came up multiple times from different people is the Virgo’s love for the iSpy puzzles of our childhood. Check the list for clues.

“A Summer Solstice Love Story”
June 2024

This photograph represents Cancer in my Signs of the Zodiac still life series. Touching on themes of self care, introspection, clarity, and wisdom, this still life was shot on a miniature set in my home studio, a concept I came up with in 2015.
