Quick intro: I run political campaigns for Democrats and aligned causes. I’ve been doing this work for 25+ years and, yes, what we’re seeing now in 2025 is absolute bullshit.
Shaheen and Durbin are retiring this cycle. If you’re a Dem in NH or IL, make sure your states’ Dems know they fucked this up, so anyone who comes after them learns that they need to stay strong.

Here’s where we are: Many Republicans are still grieving, but we are not “at war.” This will settle down as his friends & family go through the stages of grief. While that unfolds, we must remain true to our own values, and not allow grievance politics to set the agenda for everyone else.
