Pipelines are typically permitted and built in a few years, whereas HVDC for example (max 1.8GW) can take up to 14 years. It's also much more expensive for HVDC, usually 10x the cost per unit of energy

Grid infrastructure alone is not enough to decarbonise the EU economy. Various legislation such as the Clean Industrial Deal, as well as the Industrial Decarbonisation Accelerator Act and others highlight clearly that #hydrogen and #CCS will both play majors roles in reaching 2030 and 2040 targets

Yes, carbon capture 100% works, and importantly there are no alternatives for a large percentage of emissions. To think batteries will replace all fossil fuels, and have no problems associated with them, is deeply cynical
