The Habs can’t seem to find a way to keep a lead in the third period. In 7 of their 14 games they have had, then given up a third period lead. I’m not sure how you coach a young team away from that trend.

Speaker of the House?

Barring a rash of injuries to Habs forwards Laine was destined to remain on the 4th line and the second PP. I feel bad for him because he seems sincere in wanting to be a Hab and to help this team, but there really doesn’t appear to be an appropriate role for him going forward.

OMG. the largest kleptocracy in history is in power in our country right now but this is what you want to focus your efforts on. Be better for God’s sake.

To be honest I love our game and wouldn’t have changed a thing…except moving the Argos to London or Halifax. But the end zone changes aren’t triggering. Dog eared end zones corners don’t bother me but neither would standardized rectangular ones. I don’t have an answer for declining attendance. Sad.

Changing the Rouge isn’t going to filll the stands. The 55 yard line is definitional to the Canadian game. Should be sacrosanct. Moving the goalposts back seems reasonable as does gaining the 35 yard line for a field goal attempt. 15 yard end zones not too restrictive and will be fully rectangular.

From a Canadian living in KC, I hope the CBC’s extended coverage into the US Right’s depraved ceremony - beatifying a person who spewed racist, hateful rhetoric - serves as a wake-up call to Canadians. While he did not deserve to die, he does not deserve tribute. This depravity is on its way North.

Her innocence with regards to the mortgage fraud doesn’t matter. Trump believes every government employee is an “at will” employee and DOJ will support that right and eventually SCOTUS will allow it. Pathetic really.

And Hawley has been running adds in Missouri that thank him for protecting Medicaid. Shameless.

I guess that means LA is going to the Cup Final…and losing.

Lost Tillis and Paul on pronciple. The Collins “No” is purely performative.

Good to see that Carolina has put the Aho Offer Sheet pettiness behind them.

Stuart Varney, surely.

Yes because criminal gang members enjoy crime-ing at night then getting up super early to pick lettuce all day.

I sincerely believe Florida could win the cup relying only on talent and effort. The thuggery is the cherry on the Sundae. For the officials to routinely ignore it speaks to what the league believes will sell especially to US viewers. Such a stark difference to how the regular season is officiated.

Suggesting that the Admin was hoping for these pictures is a bit naive. The Admin supported by Fox/Newsmax would have found archival photos and videos from other protests to run on a loop behind their talking heads. They have an agenda and truth/acurracy would not have stopped that.

Despite Alberta’s MAGA leaning I’d still like to see McDavid/Draisaitl\Perry et al win the Cup and enjoy watching a genuinely celebratory Cup parade for a change.

The call on Drury was a penalty when viewed in a vacuum, but viewed in the context of the non-calls in this game it was a travesty.

I missed that, you’re right. However when I made my comment about goaltending the Habs, for the series to that point, had allowed 10 goals on 108 shots and the Caps had allowed 11 goals on 119 shots. We’ve just not converted our chances.

i don’t agree with “losing the goalie battle”. I don’t know what more we could expect from Dobes. He’s made 6 or so great stops. Thompson has made 1 or maybe 2. Habs shooters need to find the net.

I’d like to go on record as not a fan of the early goalie pull.

Hey, Star Editorial Board, in a time of crisis, maybe you could publish your endorsement before 8 million people have already voted!

It is illustrative of your point that Anderson was called for boarding for rubbing Wilson out along the boards, cleanly from my perspective, then it seems both referees decided every other assault against the Habs were within the rules.

Laine and Demidov cannot be used in overtime, or other critical situations, until the other three lines are exhausted.
