2. Not so long ago, I didn't understand why someone would change genders only to date someone the opposite of their gender assigned a birth. I may have made stupid jokes about "women trapped in men's bodies" and vice versa.

I was young and ignorant, and lived in a white privileged bubble and didn't understand white supremacy, and why marginalized groups so needed activism and support.

1. When I was young, I didn't understand support groups for marginalized individuals. In the past, I said things like, "if there was a group for white people only, people would loose their minds! Why do they get special consideration?"
