I remember when Apple loved the web: 2010. I remember the WWDC Safari demos, full of rich HTML5 features. Shame it's long gone, other than via the Wayback Machine: web.archive.org/web/20100701...

I tried to let a brand know about some accessibility issues I discovered on their website, and the email address listed in their accessibility statement rejects emails.

Top work.

A downside of my new online pharmacy service, Pharmacy2U, is that one is not alerted if one’s GP chooses not to issue two of the drugs you rely on to keep your symptoms at bay.

If the service had alerted me, I could have made an appointment (lolz) to see my GP ahead of my travel and discover why.

Drinking a Spruce Tip Pale Ale… pretty tame! I was expecting way more pine.

I'm dot-watching the Mammoth 200 and rooting for the last-placed runner: still with some 13 miles to go and 201 already done.

Anybody else purchased The Bourne Identity from the Apple store and has experienced the same issue? At 1:16:38 (where the scene cuts from Chris Cooper to Walton Goggins) the audio continues to play but the video loops over two frames until the next scene at 1:18:48…

We put a lot of muscle—reporting, editing, fact checking, designing, engineering—into this very deep dive on Wikipedia, which is now threatened by Trump, tech billionaires, and AI
The world’s largest encyclopedia became the factual foundation of the web, but now it’s under attack.

I'm booking train travel to Chamonix in early October: SNCF Connect suggested a route on TGV to Annemasse, a Leman Express (LEX) service, then a TER. When I try and make the seat reservation on the Interrail site, it tries to route me via Geneva, Martigny etc.

Does it know something I don't?

I've been using Vinted recently. Most transactions have gone well, but the number of scammers is pretty outrageous and customer support is not very well equipped to assist.

Why do Gitlab and Azure DevOps always need comments to be resolved? Sometimes they are commentary by the developer, other times they are just general comments from the reviewer which add context and colour to the merge/pull request. Github does this correctly.

I cycled > 200km to the New Forest yesterday (www.strava.com/activities/1... ) only find out my train home was cancelled due to strike action.

Cue needing to fork out a handy sum of money to catch a train to London, get across the city, and then the last train home.

Quite the adventure!

Dear PMO, the reason no one has submitted a “fun” video for the all-hands meeting is that everybody is cranking hard to deliver in time for said all-hands meeting.

I shouldn’t be surprised but Apple Music is pretty user-hostile. Let your subscription lapse and wave goodbye to everything you’ve added.

For the past month or so, the iCloud app on Windows is ignoring my instruction to not launch at start-up and keeps thrusting itself into the foreground. Apparently the fix is to log out and back in to iCloud. Quality software.
