Oops. Thanks for the correction! The effect of such a vote decline if repeated in NW Cambs (another 2024 ultra marginal) would be virtually as drastic as in the neighbouring constituency of Peterborough. Ward level boundary changes would invalidate the comparison though.

I notice that at the last GE in this constituency Labour polled 32.0%. So if this swing was repeated at constituency level they would achieve a 0.8% vote share 🤣. Labour also relying on a "don't waste your vote the Greens, only we can keep out Reform" message in the Gorton by-election near me...
