Just read @matthewdowsmith.bsky.social's delightful “Misfits of Magic,” featuring a teenaged Blue Devil (with a clever rewrite of his origin). Amethyst makes a nonspeaking appearance too.
It’s part of DC’s line of longform comics for middle-grade readers. Preview at tinyurl.com/46zc9ahz

When people say that of course there must be an Epstein client list, I'm reminded of Stringer Bell's question from "The Wire."

Hey, @scottmccloud.bsky.social, look what I found at the bottom of a box of...let's call it stuff. My old, non-working Zot! wristwatch.

@danschkade.bsky.social Why don't we see great internal monologue like this anymore?
Also, why are the late 50s strips set in our solar system and not on Mongo? (OTOH, I've been seeing some nice Dan Barry and Mac Raboy art.)

I know people are calling it Signalgate, but as a comic book fan, I'd prefer Batshit-Signal.

When I started reading this item reposted by @andrewfarago.bsky.social, I of course assumed it had something to do with DC Comics writer and editor Jack Schiff (active 1940s-60s).

This is me with Michigan's US Senator-elect Elissa Slotkin during her first run for Congress in 2018.

A reminder: Cries of "rigged election" are not a regular part of US politics, but mostly a recent invention of Donald Trump when he wanted to preemptively explain an expected loss in 2016.
Endlessly repeating the cry for the last 4 years doesn't make it any less the lie of an insecure man.

From The Atlantic. And note that other VP prospects with positions akin to Shapiro's are not being given epithets like "Genocide Josh." He wouldn't be my first choice, btw, but I think it's fair to ask why the Jew in this group is being singled out for opprobrium.

Alternatively, superheroes are fantasies in which children get to imagine what it will be like to have adult power in the world and discover the moral guidelines to use it.
This was never truer than when Moore and I were growing up, which makes his POV even more remarkable to me.

While laid up with a busted shoulder, I’ve reread the entire run of Wallace the Brave by Will Henry. It’s magnificent and already a classic, IMO. Now it just needs to be collected in full, not just the otherwise swell books that skip over so many great strips. Read on GoComics.com!
