Dang. What a season. Honestly, it's amazing they'll still finish above .500. Ya know, glass half full and all that.

That would have been an epic call by Shorty if that went in.

If this team fails to make the playoffs, what is the glass half-full take on this team going into the off-season and next year?
March 12, 2025 at 9:31 PM
Yes, I think a "F-U-Donald" would be better than booing the anthem. Go right at the source.
March 5, 2025 at 5:28 PM
Honestly, I feel a "Fu*k you, Donald!" would be wayyy better than booing the anthem. Most Americans aren't the problem. They're just as horrified, if not more, than the rest of the world.

I'm a Tocchet fan but this has to be system-related, no? I feel like they've over-corrected. They went from no structure to over-structured, especially for the forward group and it has sucked the creativity out of their game.
January 27, 2025 at 8:28 PM
I just did it. Canucks moved down a spot.
January 24, 2025 at 6:28 PM
I think Tocchet's awesome. This team is facing expectations for the first time. Throw in some adversity and injuries and none of this is surprising. I like JT and Petey, even if they don't have sleepovers together. Add some pieces. Give them time. They'll be fine. But it does seem like JT is gone.
January 21, 2025 at 11:54 PM
What if this is something between JT and Tocchet and not EP? Or something else? There's a missing piece somewhere. I love JT's passion. If he leaves it will leave a massive hole. But I suspect this is much bigger than locker room drama between 2 players.

100% It is insane. I know it's easy to blame the media but holy hell, either get the story or get creative and find something else to write/talk about. It's like non-stop gossip.
January 21, 2025 at 7:28 PM
Yeah, there is a massive piece missing from this story. It will all come out eventually.
January 21, 2025 at 6:33 PM
Donnie trying to keep it together there was so good.
January 21, 2025 at 6:27 PM
I don't understand people hating on him in the comments. He's a human being. He's struggling. He even took a month off because of it. I don't think he should even be back. People should support him.
January 18, 2025 at 4:27 AM
I know being empathetic isn't really the in thing to be as a sports fan but leaving the team for almost a month to "reset" is so rare. There's more to this story. I suspect he's back because he's a team guy, not because he's ready to be back. I hope I'm wrong and he's just being moody. But I wonder.

Physically and mentally.

Shame on you if you voted for that man. Shame on you.
January 11, 2025 at 10:27 PM
I bet he would make it through which would show the true value of the player and contract around the league.
December 20, 2024 at 10:31 PM
I think you may have spelled "come" wrong. Let me check. Nope, nope, you're good.
December 18, 2024 at 7:41 PM
I love that he doesn't even bother to do his hair. He just rolls out of bed and turns the camera on. I'm inspired.
December 16, 2024 at 5:46 PM
Best guess as to who they are?: I know he takes a lot of heat but it's got to be Petey at the top. Better of late, but still, he's got to be noticeable, a game-breaker. Pastrnak and Marchand were noticeable last night. He wasn't. Once again. Joshua? Hoglander? Soucy? Myers?
December 15, 2024 at 5:57 PM
Yep, took my kid to that one. He was so excited all week. Unfortunately, the highlight was the hot dog. He wanted to go home after the second period and I couldn't come up with any reason to stay. Boys have to get their crap together.

Beauty. In terms of forwards, once Miller's back, this team still needs another legit top-6 winger. Ideally, 1-2 vets with playoff success (ideally a ring) in that top-6.
December 5, 2024 at 8:34 PM
Boom. You should be very proud of yourself for this one, John.
