Well, I don’t think you’ll have trouble since you’re used to harder games like EO, but the difficulty starts to pick up just on the fifth sector imo. Also, don’t do the chaos route if you plan on playing the game just once.

Depends on what you mean. Aside from the beginner-unfriendly early game, if someone is not already used to rpgs, the in-game skill descriptions can be rather cumbersome, specially in the early entries, so I don’t think it’s that easy to pick up.
