anyway this is why i get mad when ppl suggest y2k and the hole in the ozone layer was some kind of hoax. maybe it’s hard to believe but there was a time when we had enough consensus reality to fix very serious problems!

They need to continually escalate to get that same cathartic electric thrill of hatreds being indulged. But they’re rapidly running out of road. After you’ve called for entire populations to be persecuted and deported, what next? There’s only one place it can ever end.
