Every billionaire is a policy failure. There are no “good” billionaires.
Democratic Party’s newly elected Chair, Ken Martin: “There are a lot of good billionaires out there that have been with Democrats, who share our values, and we will take their money. But we’re not taking money from those bad billionaires.”

Trump fired the NLRB's pro-worker general counsel and its acting chair.

He's effectively gutted the agency tasked with defending the rights of workers to organize.

Guess who has recently filed lawsuits aimed at invalidating the agency altogether?

Amazon and SpaceX.

Our economy is far larger than it was decades ago.

Where have most of the gains gone? To the top.

Any path forward must include a fight to restructure the economy toward more widely shared prosperity.

This isn’t a blue state vs. red state phenomenon. It’s a class phenomenon.

Am I reading this correctly that only OpenAI will get to use Stargate? If so, this seems to be a straight-up government endorsed monopoly. The term 'infrastructure' feels misleading. This implies a shared AI grid accessible to public or private entities, fostering broad innovation/collaboration.

The leading moralist was Bernard Mandeville, early proponent of capitalist thought who plainly states that inequality and poverty is necessary for economic progress. The billionaire class today feel the same way but aren’t as up front about it, they justify wealth gaps as “necessary” for innovation.

Just finished “Achieving Our Country” by Richard Rorty, who back in ’97 brilliantly predicted the rise of the Trump oligarchy. Rorty saw how the disillusioned working class, frustrated with a cultural left focused on identity, would turn to a strongman promising to dismantle smug bureaucrats…

🚨 Back in 2019, @profwolff.bsky.social brilliantly breaks it down: Imagine Amazon workers deciding what to do with the company’s surplus. Would they hand Mr. Beezos billions or reinvest it in fair wages, better conditions, and their communities?
Beezo’s net worth:
June 2019: $115B
Jan 2025: $243B📈
