People have more heart attacks between Thanksgiving and Christmas than any other time of the year.
So, don't get discouraged that he's still alive. There's still hope Piggy will drop dead.

Not only does my son know every single planet in the Solar System. He knows how many moons each planet has and their names.

Have I mentioned yet that he's only six?

If we implemented a tax rate based off your annual household income we could easily pay for medicare for all and eliminate private insurance.

How long do you think it'll take for these liberals with their faux outrage to start kissing democratic ass again?
A month, two months? After New Years? Sooner perhaps.

I don't know, all I know is it'll happen because liberals are wholly inconsistent.

I may be speaking into the void here, but if giving up something means that other people can survive I'm fine with that.
If paying extra for something means the same thing I'm fine with that too.

We wouldn't need the ACA if congress would implement a non privatized taxpayer funded Healthcare system. But that won't happen, their owners won't allow it.
We also wouldn't need SNAP if people were actually payed a living wage.
But that won't happen either for reasons highlighted above.

People getting pissy that other people might just be able to put food on their table to feed their families is fucking wild to me.

Doing a retro-build for my fiancée. Currently gutting an old windows XP PC I got for free. Going to be using components from my first build for this one.

Remember, we still have a long ways to go before April/November 2026. So while the democratic turnout was great. Keep mind those are for local elections.

Cautious optimism, lest we get too complacent is the way to go.

Well, this is disappointing. He's been one of those rare governors that have actually fought for trans rights, pulled the rug from under the GOP, and actually kept his campaign promises.

I just hope the next one will have a spine.
Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers won't run for re-election in 2026
The 73-year-old Democrat's decision not to seek a third term will set off a wide-open race to replace him in the closely divided battleground state.

As a surprise to absolutely nobody tomorrow will mark the longest government shutdown in history.
Anyone care to guess who was president when the current longest shutdown happened?

Scientists, actual real scientists. "Ending daylight savings time is good for your health"

RFK Jr. (Probably) 'how can I spin this into autism'.
“Permanent Standard Time (not springing ahead in March) could prevent 300,000 cases of stroke per year and lower nationwide prevalence of obesity by 2.6 million.” #DitchDST

Trying TrueNAS for the first time and I gotta say. Windows Server can suck a big one. I am never going back.

We wouldn't need government subsidies on Healthcare if Healthcare wasn't a for profit institution.
We wouldn't need tax credits to be able to afford Healthcare if we actually all got paid a living wage.

Hold up, hold the front up! Portias on Bluesky? Well, that's an insta follow.
Fellow people who feel things in very big ways, we are not supposed to be living like this, so give yourself grace on the days where the anxiety that you are a problem or in the way gets too loud.
Everyone and everything is on edge right now.
You are not too much.

If Democrats are so concerned about extending protections for the ACA then why didn't they enshrine those protections into law in when Biden was president? When they had the majority.
If Republicans are so concerned about the poor why don't they just tap into emergency funds. Like they're able to.
