I was on Capitol Hill today with the National Retail Federation. We did meet with several NC congressional offices including Senator Tillis. We met with five Republicans and two Democrats. It was very clear that none were pleased with the tariff announcement yesterday. Keep up with the pressure.

We know egg prices have nothing to do with Trump just like you and I both know egg prices had nothing to do with Biden; however, playing the egg price game was established by the Trump followers and we are now forced to play by those rules.

Trump or Biden most likely are not directly responsible for this closing; however, I work in the textile sector and the industry is pre-emptivly altering processes in preparation for tariffs. This impedes innovation and is costly. Tarriff discussions could have been a small contributing factor.

I was raised in a very fundamentalist southern Baptist church. Luckily my parents weren’t so rigid at home. As an adult I left the fundamentalist church and never looked back. I still consider myself a believer - a Sermon on the Mount Christian. My childhood friends consider me lost or a heretic.
