Merry Christmas, friends -- here's an older, unfinished study/almost painting celebrating my favorite Christmas movie, 1968's "A Lion in Winter". Everyone who is in it acts the ever-loving shit out of the whole thing and it's glorious. 90% of the lines are zingers and burns. It rules.

It's a close race for me between Eyvind Earle and Maxfield Parrish, but I think Earle comes out ahead because the guy knew how to distort and play with vegetation in just like, the best way. His shape language is so freaking good.
