I just saw this post on Facebook, apparently a husband and wife with a Trump flag in their yard were arrested by ICE, despite being American citizens.
Hey- I’m gonna delete a portion of this story for precaution sake. ICE just came and took my neighbor. Her husband told me all of this, and I don't know that I caught it all, but I did ask him for permission to post this. He said to tell everyone. She was born in Brazil and became an American citizen in 2012. She's a teacher. She has never committed any crime. She has never even had a traffic violation. She came here completely legally. She hasn't even been to Brazil since like 2004 her husband told me. She is an American Citizen a I'mnd she showed them all of her paperwork and all of her identification. They took her in for deportation. Her husband is also Brazilian, and became a citizen in the early 2000's. He's a law enforcement officer. They have three children. When he asked what was happening, the ICE officer said someone had tipped them off that there was an illegal immigrant there by her name. I don't know anything about the tip off lines, I'll have to research that. He said, crying, that people tip off and get a cash reward. I don't know that that's true. I do know that all of her children were told by their father, still in his police uniform, to go hide. The whole ordeal maybe lasted thirty minutes and ICE took the kids mother. I don't know what happened nor why nor do I know how it will resolve. I know they had a Trump flag in their yard, and that this family is torn to pieces right now. My heart breaks for them and anyone that feels unsafe. This is disgusting. This, unfortunately, is now America.
