I want to engage and answer questions but I get uncomfortable when my posts are used as a mechanism to reach me about something unrelated. Also, you're always welcome to email me. Thank you! 🙌🏻

I cannot get over the fact that canonically, the existence of Beedle predates the existence of Ganon

Watching Scott the Woz cover old Nintendo stuff on Scott's Stash is like vicariously fulfilling my childhood dream of having someone who listens to me when I talk incessantly about obscure and pointless things that absolutely nobody cares about

I designed two new Monika & Natsuki outfits for the anniversary #ddlc

Happy birthday Monika and happy 8th anniversary to DDLC!

Artwork by @satchely.bsky.social
An illustration of the club members from Doki Doki Literature Club. Monika is leaning out of a Ferris wheel cabin and smiling at the camera while holding a colorful set of balloons. Sayori is inside the cabin, making a funny face that's pressed up against the glass. In the background behind the Ferris wheel, Natsuki and Yuri are facing each other, both eating cotton candy. Yuri is standing on the ground while Natsuki is sitting on the guardrail enclosing the Ferris wheel's boarding platform.

Reminder that this game somehow exists: Just Dance 2020 for the Wii. An officially-licensed retail Wii game featuring Billie Eilish, who was like 4 years old when the console released. Absolutely incredible

@oneshorteye.bsky.social Excellent KQIV video, I'm glad to have gotten to see all the small details I missed in my playthrough. And I'm blessed to have been able to discover those KQ chillout tracks you were using as BGM

This is basically me right now, I code a ton of Assembly and I'm so scared of C that I'm literally looking into contributing to the LLVM backend for m68k to keep C out of my future

Serenity Forge and I maintain a good relationship, and I talked to them about this incident in length. Ultimately, I want to see them make a game that can speak for itself without leaning on the reputation of other developers' games they've published.

That's everything, now back to game dev for me.

Even though SF didn't actually authorize the use of that tagline, I'm hurt that a lot of their PR exacerbated the confusion, rather than mitigate it. They allowed their reputation to be bolstered through others misinterpreting some creative connection to DDLC. I felt taken advantage of.

- Serenity Forge did not make DDLC, they published and helped with technical dev on DDLC Plus.
- I have zero involvement in SF's new games, and they're currently not involved in mine.
- SF's new game is 100% unrelated to DDLC, it is their own project with no tie-ins to my creative work.

Recently, a new Serenity Forge game was announced with the tagline "DDLC meets Silent Hill". This caused a lot of confusion because I'm not involved in the project, and it also has nothing to do with DDLC. So I'm listing some clarifications below to help clear things up.

What a surprise it was to see you there! As a PNG enjoyer it's a treat to see what you've been up to

Apple Music has a feature called iTunes Match that basically matches tracks in your local library to their streaming versions. So you get to have a local library full of music you own (e.g. on your PC), while any device without the local copy (e.g. phone) will instead stream it from Apple Music.

Something I haven't seen reported is that N64 is currently worse performance on Switch 2 due to the compatibility layer (it's still a Switch 1 title). Yoshi's Story is a perfect 60fps on Switch 1, stutters badly every 10-20 seconds on Switch 2. Just hoping the native SW2 version is around the corner

Blu-Ray movie releases are just a mess, aren't they? This one's 1080p, this one's 4K but has weird color grading and de-noising, this one's scanned from a lower-quality source, this one has bad audio mixing, this one was only released in one country and costs $150. And the DVD has 2 hours of extras

Interesting how "teardown" and "disassembly" functionally refer to the same thing in tech videos (taking something apart), but usually, the former is a review of the internals and the latter is a step-by-step tutorial. The evolution of language is subtle and cool

So you've retired from Melee, thinking you're safe from tendinitis forever, blissfully unaware of the suffering that awaits you in the Switch 2 Welcome Tour paint scraping minigame

It's funny how I have to keep my Switch 1 around, because I use homebrew mods to play Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate at 60fps. So now I have a Switch 2 and next to it a Monster Hunter machine screaming at the limits of its overclock to run a 3DS port at a good frame rate

"Roguelike" vs. "roguelite" is too confusing, it should be roguelike and roguedislike
