I recently launched a Google Chrome browser extension for LinkDisguiser. This tool allows you to right-click on any hyperlink and instantly copy a disguised version of that link directly to your clipboard.

I love that I can group my chats with emojis in Teams now. I have groups for
- something in production is broken
- robots posting automated things
- meetings
- channels for developers

I use AI as a “co-co-parent”—an LLM helps me edit messages to my kids’ mom (we’re divorced) to keep communication clear and calm.

It’s a simple application of AI that lowers conflict, raises the quality of parenting, and creates a better environment for the kids.

I joined some ChatGPT and LLM subreddits. A lot of the discussion is driven by hype and clickbait. We need more people talking about how this tech actually works and put it to good use.

I’m no guru, but I’ve seen a few hype cycles. I plan to share more on practical AI application.

Co-Intelligence by Ethan Mollick. It’s sharp and —ironically—free of AI-generated slop. It lays perspective and groundwork for LLMs: how to work with them, and how to keep learning.

Always bring AI to the table—but never let it drive. It’s co-intelligence, not autopilot. What do you think?

"The Best Programmers I Know" from mastodon.social/@mre

This article is great advice. The first two bullets, "Read the Reference" and "Know Your Tools Really Well" are ones I've been focusing on. I'm surprised at the things I can find just by reading the manual.

This book is 100 years old, wowzers.
F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby was published exactly 100 years ago today. It was not a bestseller. In fact, in the last year of his life (1940), Fitzgerald earned just $13.13 in royalties from it and his other books combined!

LINQPad version 8.8.x has some cool stuff in the release notes.

More AI model support, support for @openrouter.bsky.social to arbitrarily support AI models, a new option to disambiguate databases with many schemas, and a bugfix for a Util feature I had no idea LINQPad already had.

Just finished first play of Finspan. Definitely much easier to put on the table and clean up! I agree that it is much easier to learn compared to Wyrmspan and Wingspan #boardgames #Finspan

Love Sagrada. The iOS app makes for a great pass-and-play game, and it enforces all of the rules of the game to prevent any human-errors evaluating them.

Skull King, a.k.a. "Pirate Euchre" is one of our home's favorites. I'm still advocating to buy another copy because our cards are getting worn out.
I'm really in the mood for trick taking games these days.

Last Saturday, I taught my friends Skull King so we can play Cat in the Box.

Both are unique but in both games we bid how many tricks that we would win. Fun games
