More importantly, we as avg citizens don't get to pick and choose what laws we want to obey, and our leaders shouldn't either. But we've let rich people hire expensive lawyers who find or make up loopholes, and we've let them get away with that for years so now that's how we're running the country.

Better question: How do we rewrite our laws so they can't do this ever again? Too much is dependent on unwritten "norms" or on laws that have no punishment or enforcement mechanism. As we've seen, the current laws don't work if the people in power just decide not to abide by them.

Was it the actual death threats, or the figurative ones that The Felon would endorse and support someone else for her gerrymandered super-red congressional district? I'm assuming it's the latter, plus you know she's going to run for Governor or Senator....
