Just discovered #openproject. I am blown away. truly impressed of the capability even though I am only use it for home projects. My wife is not a "tech" person and was able to learn quickly. I use #jira daily and I find this very usable.

I am considering making a video series on how I used homeassistant and a smart home in general to give a parent of a child with #autism at home peace of mind.
Can I get some recommendations for a camera and mic? I have a focusrite 2i2 already so I’m hoping to leverage that.

I’m curious how people manage container updates.
I have two VMs running Docker containers and a set of LXC containers on Proxmox.
I use Watchtower to email me about new images, then update through Portainer.

currently waiting for the official update for #nextcloud hub autumn release for the AIO. I switched from #onlyoffice to nextcloud office in preparation but I'm hoping the experience is a bit better in the update. Not the biggest fan of libreoffice

I think #cosmic desktop does give someone a middle ground where #gnome is just too restrictive but KDE is too much.

I won’t be switching my daily use laptop to cosmic but I have another machine setup and we see how it progresses through the beta

I have been trying the the #cosmic desktop on #fedora for a couple days. Admittedly, it isn’t for me. I have become very reliable in #gnome touch pad gestures. I assume there are way to bring that to cosmic but I tend to want to stay decently close to the default setup.

Sometimes at night we would not properly close the pantry door or forget to lock the refrigerator. When this happens my son would eat an entire bag of chips. So I used #homeassistant with contacts sensors to turn on the kitchen light and our echo would tell him to shut the door over and over #autism

Every time Microsoft tries force cloud services on me I get the urge to switch to #linux for gaming and music recording. Last time I was able to get gaming to work for the most part but recording was a challenge. I use #reaper as my DAW. I use #fedora for my laptop and look forward using that.

I have reached the phase in #autism parenting where I am installing fingerprint door knob and refrigerator locks. All of my kitchen cabinets now have combination locks.

My son keeps turning on my computer. I could to the east and obvious solution and flip the power switch on the power supply. Or, I could bypass the button on the case and look into ways to turn similate a power button press in #homeassistant.

Hmm, which to choose. Ha!
