They had exactly the same thing in Amsterdam a few years back. TCA (official taxi company there) was complaining about Uber drivers just taking over everything without proper licenses as TCA drivers needed official licenses to operate. Uber just skipped that.

Uber cars aren't branded. You wouldn't recognize one.
That's also their problem, they let almost anyone be an Uber taxi, hardly any background checks, poor service, and poor educated people who miraculously have a driver's license and a car.
