I’ve read this and agree that both parties want it to be agreed because he’s legitimately the best player in the world right now, but the fact it’s gone into final year still doesn’t sit right with me, can agree to disagree on that point just a personal viewpoint.

Assuming based off Salah and Virg comments. Yes, until it’s sorted I’m assuming FSG have done nothing because they haven’t yet. 1 month to go till pre contract terms can be agreed… countdown is on.

I was assuming that the club has done nothing and according to Salah (and most likely similar with Trent & Virg), I’m right in thinking that the club hasn’t even offered them contracts yet. It’s clear negligence.

We need depth in a couple areas, don’t want the same issue as last season (injuries costing us).

I don’t think it’s an issue with club being tight just think it’s potential negligence especially in regard to the Trent situation. He’s a local lad, the best RB in the world, and clearly has admirers and we let it get to a point where he can leave for free.

Guess we’ll just have to wait and see but the clock is ticking with January not too far away.

I think the way we’ve handled the contracts (these three especially) has been poor. Like I said, I feel this should have been sorted a while back to ensure they were here for the long run (regardless of whether Jürgen decided to leave or not).

What I mean is, these contracts should have been sorted before last season, we knew then that these are 3 of the best players in the world, just feel it’s negligent to allow them to go into the final year of their contracts. We’ve got a month to sort it before they can agree pre-contracts elsewhere.

Mate that’s exactly what I mean, it’s all hearsay at the minute. Just does my head in that the club have allowed it to get to this point. Same with Mo and Virg.
