Someone I used to know posted a photo of herself on Facebook wearing a MAGA hat, announcing that she had changed her party affiliation. She then whined about everyone who unfriended her.

MAGAs have such a victim complex.

Trump doesn’t change people. He reveals who they have always been underneath.

Social Security (FICA) tax on ALL income ring-fenced for Social Security with a tapered off rate of return at the very top.

Medicare tax on ALL income ringfenced for Medicare-for-All.

People would know exactly what these federal taxes paid for.

A MediCal tax that pays for a comprehensive universal medical/dental/vision health insurance plan would be much cheaper for most people and businesses than having to purchase private for-profit health insurance plans for their families and employees..

Single-payer?
Public Option?
Swiss-style system?

The biggest problem with all the Starbucks closing is the reduction in the number of clean restrooms for the public to access.

Look at this nice clean public restroom in London. Why can’t American cities have nice public restrooms?

I would even pay a dollar to use one or tip an attendant.

In the 60’s the ratio of CEO pay to employee was 20 to 1. Now it is almost 500 to 1.

One way to fix income inequality is a 20 to 1 maximum law.

If the CEO gets a raise, then you get one too.

Move from rigged-markets to fair-markets for both labor and capital. End the “trickle-down” scam.

Undocumented immigrants don’t get Medicaid, the ACA or Medicare, but I would rather my tax dollars pay for their health care than to bail out soybean farmers who voted to inflict Trump, fascism, and Project 2025 onto us.

I voted for universal health care. They can have what they voted for instead.

Republicans have a trifecta and can pass their spending bill at any time.

They don’t need Democratic votes. The Senate filibuster is an arbitrary Senate rule.

Republicans want the government to stay shut down to prevent release of the Epstein files likely showing that Trump raped underage girls.
