He's done new deals for me twice before but always with the same bank I started with and never any fees before. No idea if any of this is INDEED red flag behaviour for UK brokers?

Did some googling at the start of this fast email interaction that started like an hour ago and no where was it saying it was typical for a broker to charge a PRODUCT FEE to a customer directly.

Red flags just started piling up. I assume I'm fine doing it myself as I'm sure I'm not stuck with him?

Pretty wild for me to have spotted this but the red flag was he's never asked for a fee before, so I was curious to check offers myself and I asked in email if it was him or the bank charging him this fee.

He told me the bank was charging it to him as a product fee.

Did he just try to scam me? :/
