I would submit that the recognition that the entire political party had done as you described is exactly what journalists are tasked to do. I would and do hold NPR responsible for their failure, beginning in 2015, and up to the 2024 campaign. The rest of us could see it plainly, and they failed us.

My favorite part is that he clearly thinks that asylum seekers are escapees from mental asylums. It would be so funny if it weren't so horrifying.
