Orktober is in full swing, so here is a photo of the merry band of Orks I brought to the mini event the other day. Went 2-2 and by Ork standards that's a win because they got to fight four games! WAAAAAAAAAAGH!

A 500 point Evil Sunz Ork force consisting of a Warboss in Mega Armour accompanied by two Meganobz, a Weirdboy joined by 10 regular Boyz, three Deffkoptas fitted with custom jet engines and a Deffdread.

Played my first Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game game, and I won! My Moria goblins managed to beat a lovely painted Rohan force, mostly because of my amazing luck with the dice. Don't think I've ever rolled this many sixes in a game. It was a lot of fun!

The Rohan captain bravely charged the Cave Troll, but only managed to wound the beast before being clubbed to death in return.

The Rohan lieutenant likewise charged one of the goblin captains, but was outnumbered, surrounded, trapped and eventually cut down by the goblin horde.

Even though painting Space Marines was my entry into 40K, the Eldar were my first true love. These two Striking Scorpions I painted in 1994, and I remember that I was very happy with the edge highlighting - a technique I had recently learned.
